Biden was joined on stage by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen
Sebelius, White House Office of Health Reform Director Nancy-Ann DeParle
and Barry Rand, CEO of the AARP, who were discussing ways in which health care reform could benefit older Americans and members of the middle class.
A number of Alexandria officials were in attendance, including Mayor Bill Euille, Vice Mayor Kerry Donley and City Council members Del Pepper, Frank Fannon and Alicia Hughes. Residents and other AARP representatives rounded out Thursday's crowd.
